Your Guide on How to Get to Todos Santos, Mexico

Are you dreaming of exploring the charming town of Todos Santos in Mexico? Whether you’re coming from La Paz, Cabo San Lucas, or San Jose del Cabo, we’ve got you covered with this comprehensive guide on the best ways to reach this picturesque destination. From flying to driving and taking a bus or shuttle service, we’ll walk you through the options to ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey to Todos Santos.

Flying to Todos Santos

For those arriving by air, there are a few options to consider:

  1. La Paz International Airport (LAP):
If you’re flying into La Paz, you can opt for a scenic drive to Todos Santos, which takes approximately two hours. Enjoy the coastal views and rugged beauty of Baja California Sur as you make your way to this charming town.

  2. Los Cabos International Airport (SJD): Located near both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, this airport offers convenient access to Todos Santos. From SJD, you can rent a car or take a shuttle service for a comfortable journey to your destination.

Driving to Todos Santos

Driving gives you the flexibility to explore at your own pace, so we highly recommend renting a car at the airport. Here are the driving routes from nearby cities:

  1. From La Paz: The drive from La Paz to Todos Santos takes about two hours, offering stunning views of the desert landscape and coastline along the way. Please note, you’ll encounter a military checkpoint during your journey. This is simply a safety measure mandated by the Mexican government and is typically hassle-free.

  2. From Cabo San Lucas: If you’re starting your journey in Cabo San Lucas, the drive to Todos Santos is approximately one hour. Take in the scenic beauty of the Pacific Ocean as you drive northward.

  3. From San Jose del Cabo: The drive from San Jose del Cabo to Todos Santos is similar in duration to Cabo San Lucas, offering a picturesque route through the desert and coastal regions of Baja California Sur. Tip! We recommend taking the highway instead of driving through Cabo, as it’s faster, more relaxing, and offers stunning desert views with less traffic. While there is a toll to pay, it’s a small amount well worth the convenience and scenic experience.

If you’re driving from La Paz, your first stop will be Todos Santos. If your vacation rental is in Pescadero or Cerritos Beach, you’ll need to continue driving south. On the other hand, if you’re coming from Cabo, you’ll reach Cerritos Beach first, followed by Pescadero. Keep heading north to arrive in Todos Santos.

Taking a Bus or Shuttle Service

If you prefer not to drive, there are bus and shuttle services available from La Paz, Cabo San Lucas, and San Jose del Cabo to Todos Santos. These services provide a convenient and cost-effective way to reach your destination while enjoying the scenery along the route. Tip! You can book a shuttle online through, which provides shuttles from La Paz and Cabo to Todos Santos, Cerritos Beach, or El Pescadero. Make sure to reserve your spot early as they tend to fill up quickly.
